Beizeichen Kantharos. Le Rider Taf. 57,133 ff. 8.47g, G O L D gutes vz Die "Philipper" waren in der gesamten antiken Welt verbreitet und wurden auch von Philipps Sohn Alexander dem Großen und dessen Nachfolgern weitergeprägt, wie die beiden hier vorgestellten Exemplare zeigen. Zudem dienten sie als Vorbild, etwa für die Goldstatere des Agathokles von Syrakus oder der Kelten in Gallien, wo das Motiv aber im Laufe der Zeit bis zur Unkenntlichkeit abgewandelt wurde.
